With friendly staff, including Oscar and Omar, the hotel creates a welcoming atmosphere, especially for those of us navigating language barriers. The early check-out was a breeze, and the location is ideal, just moments from the ADO bus stop and city center. For those on a budget, this place offers commendable amenities, such as air conditioning and shared fridge access. While the rooms were basic, they served my needs adequately. La Pizzeta, the on-site pizzeria, was a pleasant surprise, dishing out decent pizzas that fueled my adventures each day. It's the tours here that sealed the deal for me. The hotel can assist in arranging transportation to the nearby Calakmul ruins, plus you might even encounter a mesmerizing bat show at dusk on your way back. All in all, if you're looking for a cost-effective base that doesn't skimp on essential amenities, Chaac Calakmul is a wise choice.
